Recent review of the Nanog archives indicates that many off-topic posts
have been permited by Nanog staff, without action. Discrimination is
defined as taking action against some, and not against others.

Allowing repeated personal attacks and disparaging remarks directed against
myself, postings which are themselves contrary to your stated policy,
demonstrates that you do not enforce your policy, except to discriminate.
You cannot restrict one person and then permit 2 days of continued personal
attacks against that person, and claim to implement either your stated
policy of non-discrimination, nor your stated policy of posting restrictions.
Furthermore, it would appear that my initial post on the Netgate topic is
within the charter of Nanog, so it is curious why you would make a request
for me to restrict my posts. Posts by other people on the subject may not
have been within the charter, however, that is not my responsibility, nor
is it appropriate to punish me for the posts of others.

Ok. It would appear that Merit supports Nanog with office facilities,
staff, computer resources, and network access, at least some of which are
publicly funded. If so, then Nanog is not a privately funded organization,
and may not discriminate with respect to membership and membership
privileges.
