From dean@av8.com Tue May 11 18:44:24 2004 Date: Mon, 19 Jan 2004 23:42:48 -0500 (EST) From: Dean Anderson To: bill Subject: Re: Complaint regarding www.sorbs.net (204.152.186.189) (fwd) I have your ambigous statements, and the fact that an EP.NET IP address is assigned to ISC.ORG. Quite clearly, you have a relationship with ISC.ORG: 4.176.32.198.in-addr.arpa. 86400 IN PTR paix-gw4.isc.org. These are your own statements and nameserver configuration, so I have not made any false statements, hence there is no defamation. If your statements are false or misleading or embarrasing to you, it is because you have misled me. But you still made them, so my repetition of them is true--you said those things, so my statements are true. Also, libel requires malice. Clearly there is no malice in publishing your statements, even if you made misleading statements to me which you would be embarrassed by were they published. However, ISC.ORG is hosting SORBS.NET, which is defaming and damaging my reputation and property by claiming 130.105 is hijacked and they are blocking mail from that block, yet you won't render necessary assistance in forwarding and investigating the complaint. Perhaps you are letting your personal relationship with Paul Vixie get in the way: 176.32.198.in-addr.arpa. 86351 IN NS ns-ext.vix.com. Quite clearly, you have a relationship with Paul Vixie, who has a relationship with ISC, which has a relationship with SORBS. I wonder if you have a closer relationship with SORBS than this would seem to indicate... Look forward to talking to your counsel. If you sue, then I get to do discovery concerning your statements, and I will get to find out what your AUP is, and whether you acted properly. I suspect he/she will tell you to quit the intransigence and forward and investigate the complaint. I think he will also tell you not to make false or misleading statements that could be published, perhaps to your embarrassment. --Dean On Mon, 19 Jan 2004, bill wrote: > your assertion that ISC.ORG is a customer lacks any foundation > in fact. legal council will be advised of your intent to > defame/libel ep.net with baseless accusations. > > > > > > > > You've been notified about the abuse by your customer, ISC.ORG.
